Did you know?

Applicants can provide additional information (photos, graded papers, portfolios, etc.) along with required materials. Please note that the volume of applications we receive prevents us from returning materials after the application is reviewed.

Common Application

We gladly accept the Common Application.  Common Application offers the ease of an online application and a downloadable PDF. Both the online and PDF versions can be found on the Common Application Website.

Supplement for Common Application Users:
Eugene Lang College requires one short answer question, and two written essays. Along with one of the Common Application essay questions, please answer both the short answer and the essay question below.

  1. Short Answer Question:
    Tell us about a time when you were in the minority. (Approximately 250 Words)

  2. Essay Question:
    You have been elected the leader of a new populace. The future is in your hands. Outline a platform on environmental issues, education, and race and ethnicity. Be wise and be creative. (Approximately 500 Words)


Lang will accept fee waivers if you have difficulty paying the application fee of $50.00. The College Board fee waivers or a note from a guidance or college counselor will be acknowledged by the Office of Admission.
