Profile:
With a body of work that is broad in scope and diversity,
encompassing many genres, acrossing multiple platforms and mediums, George Fontenette
has been both band leader and sideman, performing with Alvin Batiste’s
Jazztronauts, Frank Foster, Mark Whitfield, Wess Anderson, Wynton Marsalis at
the 1991 International Trumpet Guild Conference at LouisianaState University,
and on Broadway (Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum). He has composed and produced music
for over 250 national commercials for some of the most recognizable brands in
the world. His musical journey has afforded him opportunities to compose music
for a number of feature films including Madea’s Family Reunion (2006), Blackout
(2007), The Golden Greek: The Harry Agganis Story (2007), and Multiple Sarcasms
(2009). His production expertise has been highly valued, as evidenced by his CD
credits for work with Jay-Z, KRS-One, Regina Bell, Glenn Jones, Kenny
Littimore, Will Downing, Paul Taylor, Youngstown
