Study Groups

Whether you're interested in history, literature, philosophy, the humanities, science, art, music, or drama, the IRP has a study group for you. [Our courses conform to a college liberal arts curriculum.] Topics for courses are selected and developed by our Curriculum Committee on the basis of members’ interests, and the expertise and abilities of our volunteer group leaders. The Curriculum Committee strives to ensure that there is variety and balance in the courses offered. All study groups are non-credit, and there are neither tests nor grades, but active participation is essential and expected. Participation ranges from sharing the results of one’s own research to keeping up with assigned readings and contributing to class discussions.
