Students in good standing (minimum GPA 3.0/4.0) who have completed their first semester may register for up to three credits through an approved internship. To qualify for credit, a student must work a minimum of 150 hours (10 hours/week during the regular semester or 20 hours/week during the summer session). Late registration for an internship can be allowed if the student fulfills the minimum of 150 hours work-requirement by the end of the semester.
Visit our up-to-date internship directory for a list of current internship opportunities. To see past internships available to GPIA students, visit our internship archive.
Students may undertake non-credit internships at any time. Students who wish to register for a credit-bearing internship should take the following steps.
Internship FAQ's
How do I register for a for-credit internship?
Please see the internship registration page for information on how to register.
Do I have to register if it is a not-for-credit internship?
No. You only have to register if you want to receive credits for the internship.
How many internships can I register for?
You are permitted only one for-credit internship during your studies at GPIA. In other words, you are allowed only three Internship credits in your 30 or 42-credit degree.
