What's New for the Fall


With the new academic term Academic Technology is rolling out lots of great upgrades to Technology Lab hardware and Software. Additionally, there are some new processes newly in place to assure a quality technology experience in the labs. Below is a list of highlights Software upgrades:

OS Upgrades
All Technology Lab Macintosh and Windows workstations have been upgraded to assure your lab experience remains consistent and reliable.

New Macintosh Workstations and Projector Installations.
New Macintosh workstations and newly installed projectors are now available at various Technology Lab Locations across campus. Check out the Technology Lab and Classroom Technology sections of our websites to find specific resources.

New Gear in The Equipment Center
The Equipment Center has added the following new gear to its inventory which will be available via online reservation.

  • Sony HXR-NX70U NXCAM Compact Camcorder
  • Canon EOS 6D Digital Camera with Canon 24-105mm f/4.0L IS USM AF Lens
  • Zoom H4n Handy Mobile 4-Track Recorder
  • Cloud Microphones Cloudlifter CL-1

Please note that the Equipment Center We no longer supplies Media Cards.

New NetID Passoword Rules
If you missed the August announcement about the new password requirements for New School Accounts please take a moment to review the policy change and assure that your password is compliant to the new requirements

Wireless Expansion
New wireless access is now available at Kerrey Hall.

New Online Form for Large Format Print Submission
The Print Output Center now offers a streamlined process for large format photo plotter submission. Submissions for large format plotter prints may now be submitted via online form. See the Photo Plotter section of the website for submission details and requirements.
