Our Classroom Technology page will give you an overview of the resources available in the more than 200 instructional spaces we support. Search for your room on the Academic Technology Supported Spaces chart to find detailed information about computer and software configuration, projections set-up and audio-video devices.
Learn The Ropes
Instructional signage posted in each room features step-by-step instructions for operating the presentation equipment in that location. You can find the instructions for your room under “Presentation Devices & Instructions” on the supported spaces list.
For hands-on faculty training on classroom equipment, contact Media Services at 212.229.5300, x2310 or firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule an appointment.
To get immediate technical help during your class session, call the Academic Technology support line at 212.229.5300 x4538 (some rooms may have an alternate support contact). You’ll also find this number on the instructional signage in each room. When you call, our staff will use a 3-step process to get you up and running as quickly as possible:
- Over-the-phone Troubleshooting: many issues can be resolved with the press of a button. Our staff can walk you through these basic steps over the phone so that you can return to teaching right away.
- On-site Troubleshooting: if you still need help, we’ll dispatch a support team member to visit your classroom. Our support team can guide you in using classroom equipment, troubleshoot many basic hardware or software problems, or engage a “roaming technician” to take a closer look.
- Advanced Technician Troubleshooting: for deeper issues, our technical staff will first focus on getting you the resources you need to continue your class, and will prioritize resolution of any outstanding issues in time for your upcoming class sessions.
