SendFiles

Overview

The New School operates a secure file transfer service, sendfiles.newschool.edu, to securely transfer sensitive information from one person to another, both inside and outside the university.

Use

As explained in more detail in General Controls for Handling Sensitive Information (PDF),confidential information must not be sent via electronic mail, even from one New School user to another, unless that information is encrypted. In general, the New School Secure File Transfer solution (Sendfiles) provided by the Office of Information Technology should be used for this purpose.

Getting Started

To get started with Sendfiles you will need a fill out a Secure File Transfer Access Request Form (PDF). The information on this form will be used to create your Secure File Transfer User ID. To obtain the form, contact Enterprise Applications. Once your access is set up you may login at sendfiles.newschool.edu.
