Wireless printing is available on select Academic Technology printers. The wireless printing software is available for download so that you may enable your personal laptop to print using the print points allocation associated with your NetID.
Degree or Credit-Seeking Students
Wireless printing services are available during lab hours of operation.
Wireless printing from personal laptops is available at the following locations:
- 55 West 13th St.
- 6 East 16th St.
- 25 East 13th St.
- Student Study Center - 90 Fifth Ave.
- University Center 63 5th Ave.
- Parsons Paris
Please note that you are required to log on to the capmus wireless network in order to submit your files to print.
This initiative was developed in response to wishes expressed by the student body and various university representatives. This effort is intended to increase the flexibility of facilities use, to ensure the resources you need are available to you when you need them.
In order to configure your laptop to print to Academic Technology printers using TNS wireless network, you will have to download and install the Academic Technology pay-to-print system. This software will enable you to authenticate the print transaction against your NetID printing account.
Students: To print wirelessly you will be required to download and install our pay-to-print software. You may use the software on your personal computer(s). Once you are no longer enrolled at or affiliated with The New School you will be required to remove this program.
Other members of the community (Faculty, Staff, etc.): To print wirelessly you will be required to download and install our pay-to-print software. You are allowed to use the software on your personal and work computers. You are required to remove this program once you are no longer affiliated with the The New School.
System Requirements: For Microsoft Windows users, we currently support Windows 2000 and higher. For Apple users, we support Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) and higher. Earlier versions of Windows and Mac OS are not supported and will not be able to print through the wireless network.
