In-Class Support

Overview

The Academic Technology Dispatcher is available to provide or coordinate urgent in-class support.

Access

In-class support is available during all periods of scheduled classes.

Location

The IT Service Desk will coordinate technology support of urgent, in-class needs for all IT Service Desk Supported Spaces.

Use

When an urgent technology support need arises, simply call the IT Service Desk (formerly Dispatcher). To better understand your support needs and to expedite a resolution, the dispatcher may first provide troubleshooting guidance over the phone, and may ask you for your contact information to ensure reliable follow-up and reporting. The dispatcher will then visit your class on-site to troubleshoot and ensure that you technology support needs are met.

Getting Started

If you are unfamiliar with presentation room equipment, you may first want to receive training in the basic operations of presentation hardware. If so, please schedule media services training with Events IT (formerly Media Services.
