Rivers emerging from the Himalaya provide crucial supplies of freshwater for Asia, especially China and India.  River technology that promotes ecological sustainability of rivers and related ecosystems are needed to resolve potential water conflicts. 

India China Institute Fellow Jayanta Bandyopadhyay will explore how much these countries have actually progressed toward such innovations in water science and policy in his talk.
