The New School recognizes Local 1205, affiliated with the International Brotherhood of Teamsters for office clerical employees and librarians, including but not limited to:

• Office Assistants
• Secretaries
• Accounting Clerks
• Library Clerks
• Librarians
• Librarian's Assistants
• Mail/Duplicating Clerks

The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Local 1205, and the university concluded negotiations and signed a Memorandum of Agreement on December 21, 2010. The Memorandum of Agreement (PDF) lists the agreed upon changes to the collective bargaining agreement that expired on June 30, 2010. These changes will be incorporated into a new agreement, which will replace the one currently posted here.

All employees who either belong in this union or supervise such employees must thoroughly review the contract and the Memorandum of Agreement between the university and Local 1205, IBT.
