As one of The New School’s 65,000 alumni, you are an integral part of the university community. New School graduates live in all 50 states in the U.S. and 111 countries throughout the world, and they have many personal and professional accomplishments. Whether you are working in the design world, the halls of academia, the performing arts community, government, business, or in the nonprofit sector you are bound to meet a fellow alum of The New School.
Our alumni serve as admission volunteers, guest lecturers, panel speakers, committee members, and mentors to current students.
Many alumni also support The New School philanthropically. The university is eternally grateful to these generous graduates. Whether making an unrestricted gift to the Annual Fund, establishing a scholarship through an endowment, or making a commitment to the university through a bequest, alumni contributions are vital to the present and future success of The New School.
The New School and each of its divisions needs and encourages support from alumni. Your financial gifts and direct support are beneficial in many ways: you assist current students in their educational endeavors; your gifts have a multiplying effect by encouraging other alumni to make The New School a philanthropic priority; and finally, you send a powerful message to funders from outside the community, including large foundations, that the university’s mission is worthy of their support.
The New School is proud of its alumni and grateful for all that they contribute to make this the wonderful institution that it is.
