Fiorello H. LaGuardia Scholarships – 2012
This year in place of our annual dinner, The New School is responding to the need for access to more affordable education in the current economy. The New School is proud to announce that instead of a dinner, this year 100% of your donations support LaGuardia student scholarships.
Innovative, Principled and Practical
The Milano School of International Affairs, Management, and Urban Policy train leaders for the nonprofit, public, and private sectors with a measurable difference. Our inspired faculty blends theory with hands-on practice and progressive thinking with social commitment while the curriculum stays relevant to ever changing urban issues.
Mandy Goodgoll's studies in International Affairs at The New School have taken her all the way to Argentina and back, put her on the front lines of the struggle for safe water, and given her a new understanding of the power of collaboration. Follow Mandy as she leads The New School's first ever, university-wide Water Week.
Bridging Theory and Practice
Milano's academic programs provide students with a theoretical and practical understanding of pressing local and world issues. The curriculum is distinctly action-oriented across programs in nonprofit management, international affairs, urban policy, organizational change, and environmental policy and sustainability management. Theories are tested in client-centered work and competencies are honed in the real world, solving current problems.
Our Graduates Become Leaders
True to Milano's progressive agenda, programs are grounded in ethical decision-making and social responsibility. Milano supports professions that build civic institutions and contribute to democratic society. Through Milano's blend of theory, practice, and commitment to community, graduates become leaders who are actively sought for their effectiveness as change agents.
