STATEMENT OF REGONITION

Adopted by the Executive Faculty of the Graduate Faculty on February 11, 2004

The Executive Faculty of the Graduate Faculty of Political and Social Science, New School University, hereby recognizes the Graduate Faculty Student Senate as the legitimate student government of the Graduate Faculty students. The Graduate Faculty Student Senate is the successor to the Graduate Faculty Student Union, which reconstituted itself into this new governing structure after it held two General Assemblies, which deliberated on the restructuring proposals on October 13 and October 22, 2003, and after the students, in an email referendum held on October 23-30, 2003, approved the proposal for the formation of the Graduate Faculty Student Senate. The Executive Faculty welcomes the Graduate Faculty Student Senate and wishes it well in its role as a representative of and an advocate for the interests of Graduate Faculty students.
