Manuscript Title in Brief
Page number Abstract The abstract is a concise summary stating why the research was done--namely, what was the purpose or objective of the study. It details in brief the method, participants and hypotheses, and describes the major findings. It ends with the conclusions and implications stemming from these results. You may follow the same general outline for an essay abstract. For example, the essay may begin with a section regarding your objective in writing the essay, then outline or highlight the central arguments or theories pertaining to your essay, and conclude with your own critical evaluation and summary. Thus, in 120 words or less, the reader can anticipate the key points of your research paper or essay. |
