The New
School For Social Research Psychology Society
The New School For Social Research Psychology Society is a student-run organization aimed at helping students become acquainted with the New School Department of Psychology, their peers and faculty, and the field in general. The mission of the Psychology Society is to provide a social milieu as well as a forum for psychology students to express their concerns. The Society maintains an open channel of communication between students, faculty, and administration, acting as an intermediary between these groups. Ongoing activities include monthly meetings, student research presentations, alumni panel discussions, a mentoring program to assist new students in course selection, and informal meetings with the faculty. We work closely with the staff of the The New School For Social Research. All NSSR psychology students are welcome to attend Psychology Society meetings and events. The Psych Society meetings are the first Thursday of every month in 65 Fifth Ave., Machinist Conference Room.
