“An
International Journal of Critical and Democratic Theory”— has its
roots in the Frankfurt School tradition of critical theory. Currently
it brings together a plurality of perspectives, including those
from the postmodern continental and Anglo-American traditions. The
journal is edited by Graduate Faculty professors Andrew Arato and
Nancy Fraser. It has published articles by internationally known
scholars including Jürgen Habermas, Claus Offe, Cornelius Castoriadis,
Will Kymlicka, Ernesto Laclau, David Held, and Seyla Benhabib. At
least twice a year, the journal holds editorial meetings and discussions
on topics of theoretical or political interest, which graduate students
are welcome to attend.
