Espen Hammer
Visiting Professor (Spring 2006).

Espen Hammer is Reader in Philosophy at the University of Essex in England and Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oslo in Norway. Stanley Cavell: Skepticism, Subjectivity, and the Ordinary (2002). His books include Adorno (2002), Inner Darkness: An Essay on Melancholia (2004), and Adorno and the Political (2005). His edited volume, German Idealism and Contemporary Philosophy, will appear in 2006.
