Projects

Currently several research projects on comparative macroeconomics and policy issues are initiated in cooperation with European researchers. Among those are projects concerning:

  • European and U.S. labor markets and inequality, effects of the E.U. enlargement (a project proposal proposed to the European Commission)
  • The financial market and the real economy in a comparative view (a project prepared for the German Science Foundation)
  • U.S. and European Central Banks and economic policy coordination (a project proposed to the European Commission)
  • economic growth performance: The U.S. and the EURO-Area
  • monetary and fiscal policy issues: the U.S. and Euro-area
  • comparative studies on environmental and resource management problems

Specific research topics will emerge as our research network progresses, working papers on these areas are now available.
