His commissions for lighting, office design, and furniture include collections for the Manhattan restaurants Surya and Cafe Spice, Sony Music Entertainment, Lord & Taylor, Wesley Snipes, and Peter and Eileen Norton. His work has been exhibited at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair, the Mary Delahoyd Gallery, Rotunda Gallery, and Dieu Donne Papermill. Mr. Whitfield’s writings have appeared in publications including Interiors, Essence, InStyle, Interior Design, Metropolis, the New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune.
