New School Jazz student Arthur Hnatek (drums) presents his senior recital, featuring a brand new suite composed for a 10-piece band. Confirmed musicians feature Camila Meza, Sam Minaie, Martha Kato and Michael Valeanu.

Arthur Hnatek, drummer/composer, is a Swiss born, award winning, multi-instrumentalist musician, now living in New York City. His work led him to create music in the jazz world as well as in classical and electronic music settings.
He has travelled all around the world performing in festivals like The Montreux Jazz Festival (CH), La Cité de La Musique (Paris,FR), Festival de Vienne (FR), Festival de Carthage (TU) or the Reykjavik Jazz Festival (IS), among others.

Associated acts: Tigran, Melismetiq or Nate Wood.

As a composer he has written for many different settings from jazz groups to the symphony orchestra or as an arranger for vocalists. In 2009, Arthur received a number of awards: among them, he was one of eight Swiss artists to receive a grant from the Leenaards Foundation. Recently he has been touring with Universal recording artist Tigran, as well as produced some remixes for him.
In February, Arthur and his collaborative group won a competition sponsored by Louis Vuitton based on a piece for dance, music and fashion design.
