New School Jazz student Jacob Amber (drums) presents his senior recital.


22 year old drummer/composer born and raised in Michigan. Over the past four years, Jake had the opportunity to study under many prolific drummer/percussionists such as: Billy Martin, Mark Guiliana, Adam Deitch, Jamire Williams, Amir Ziv, and James Baker. His recital will showcase original compositions inspired by the great works of Philip Glass, Morton Feldman, Frederic Chopin, J.S. Bach, Gustov Mahler, Franz Liszt, Cole Porter, Billie Holiday, Charles Mingus, Chris Dave, Amon Tobin, Aphex Twin, Fela Kuti, the Beatles, and Dr. Dre. He would like to thank his friends and family for all of the love and inspiration over the years.
