Lisa Russ Spaar is the author of Vanitas, Rough: Poems, Satin Cash, Blue Venus: Poems, and Glass Town: Poems, for which she received a Rona Jaffe Award for Emerging Women Writers in 2000. Her work has appeared in many literary quarterlies and journals, including Denver Quartery, The Kenyon Review, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, and Poetry. Ms. Spaar has been honored by the Academy of American Poets, the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the Library of Virginia Award for Poetry (2009), and the Carol Weinstein Poetry Prize (2011–12). In addition, she is the Director of the Area Program in Poetry Writing at the University of Virginia, where she is Professor of English and Creative Writing, an Advising Fellow, and the winner of several awards including the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia Outstanding Faculty Award. Craig Morgan Teicher is a poet, critic, and freelance writer. His first book of poems, Brenda Is In The Room And Other Poems, was chosen by Paul Hoover as winner of the 2007 Colorado Prize for Poetry and was published by the Center for Literary Publishing. His collection of short stories and fables, called Cradle Book, was published in spring 2010 by BOA Editions Ltd. His new book, To Keep Love Blurry: Poems, was published by BOA in September 2012.
