Cave Canem Presents: CM Burroughs, Yona Harvey, and Jonathan Moody

CM Burroughs is the author of The Vital System. She has been awarded fellowships from Yaddo, The MacDowell Colony, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and the Cave Canem Foundation among others. Burroughs is the Elma Stuckey Poet-in-Residence at Columbia College of Chicago. Her poetry has appeared in many literary journals including Callaloojubilat, Ploughshares, and VOLT.

Yona Harvey is the author of Hemming the Water. She is a Cave Canem fellow and the recipient of an Individual Artist Grant from The Pittsburgh Foundation.  Her work has appeared in the anthologies Gathering Ground, and A Poet’s Craft: A Comprehensive Guide to Making and Sharing Your Poetry as well as numerous literary journals including Ploughshares, Jubilat, Bat City Review, and Poetry Memoir Story.

Jonathan Moody is the author of The Doomy Poems. He is a Cave Canem fellow graduate and the recipient of the Academy of American Poets Prize and the Edwin O. Ochester Graduate Poetry Prize for Best Poem. His work has appeared in the anthology Gathering Ground, and numerous literary journals including Crab Orchard ReviewAfrican American Review, Tidal Basin Review, Gemini Magazine, and storySouth.
