The Tragedy of Macbeth

- 8:00 p.m.

The New School for Drama presents The Tragedy of Macbeth by William Shakespeare, directed by Casey Biggs.

Considered one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most powerful tragedies, The Tragedy of Macbeth is a ruthless tale of power, ambition, deceit, and murder. The Three Witches foretell Macbeth's rise to King of Scotland, and prodded by his ambitious wife, he murders the King – and many others – and gains the crown. But in the end, the prophecy proves to have come with a price.

The Tragedy of Macbeth will be presented May 8-11 at 8:00 p.m., with a matinee on May 11 at 3:00 p.m.
