Students
in the Urban Policy M.S. program demonstrate their learning through the program’s
capstone project, the “Professional
Decision Report (PDR),” in which students analyze a policy or management
problem for a client of their choosing. Milano faculty assessed all
program-level student learning outcomes by
evaluating the PDRs using a rubric during the grading process. Alex Schwartz,
associate professor, will discuss the program’s assessment methods and
findings, as well as the development of a diagnostic exam to be given to
incoming students. This workshop is open to members of the university community only.
