Program #5: Presentation and Activity: "Re-Imagining Orozco" Presented by Silvia Rocciolo
Following in the footsteps of a 2010 university-wide project to re-imagine and update the famous “Call for Revolution and Universal Brotherhood” José Clemente Orozco painted for The New School in 1931, we’ll explore the murals, located in the 66 W.12th St. building, learn about student adaptations and updatings, and then turn our own hand to reconceiving the “Table of Brotherhood” and the landscape of global liberation struggles for our own time.
