Poetry Forum: Victoria Redel

Victoria Redel is the author most recently of Woman Without Umbrella (forthcoming Four Way Books).Her books include the novels The Border of Truth and Loverboy, which was awarded the 2001 S. Mariella Gable Novel Award, the 2002 Forward Silver Literary Fiction Prize, and was chosen in 2001 as a Los Angeles Times Best Book. Loverboy was adapted for a feature film directed by Kevin Bacon. Her collection of poems, Swoon, was a finalist for the James Laughlin Award. Her work has appeared in numerous magazines and journals including O the Oprah magazine, Redbook, Bomb, More and NOON. Redel is on the faculty of Sarah Lawrence College and teaches in the Graduate Writing Program at Columbia University.

Series and discounted tickets must still be made in person or over the phone at The New School Box Office at 66 West 12th Street, main floor, Monday-Thursday 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., and Friday 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. The box office opens the first day of classes and closes after the last paid event of each semester.
