THE NEW SCHOOL

Faculty TECH Tutorials

Dear Colleagues,

The Provost's Office is pleased to announce that New School faculty can receive free, individualized tutoring sessions ("Tech-Shops") on a wide variety of computer programs. This trial program is being offered in an effort to provide support to faculty members who want to incorporate more technology into their teaching.

Several highly qualified students are working with the Provost's Office this semester to provide up-to 100 45-minute tutoring sessions to faculty members who schedule an appointment.

Sessions can take place in a computer lab or in faculty offices (provided the office computer has the necessary software). Tutors are available to help with a range of computer programs, from common ones such as BlackBoard or Powerpoint to a wide variety of specialized software. (Repeat sessions may be considered, depending on the volume of requests.)

To make an appointment, simply email John Drew, drewj096@newschool.edu. Include a brief description of the kind of computer tutorial you are interested in. We have included a list of some of the possibilities below.

Sincerely,

Elizabeth Ellsworth
