The New School Sustainability Forum

3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

The New School celebrates the 10th annual Campus Sustainability Day, a national day recognizing higher education's leadership role in sustainability, with a Sustainability Forum. This event will bring together key university leaders to update our community about infrastructure improvements that save energy and water, the "green" attributes and high performance design of the new University Center, and efforts to include sustainability in our curriculum.

An open dialogue will follow that is meant to encourage questions, comments and news about what others on campus are doing to further the university's contributions to addressing some of the most pressing environmental issues.

Participants include:

  • David Van Zandt, President, The New School
  • Joel Towers, Executive Dean, Parsons The New School for Design
  • John Clinton, Associate Professor & Director, Environmental Policy and Sustainability Management, The New School for Public Engagement
  • Lia Gartner, VP, Design, Construction & Facilities Management, The New School
  • Thomas Whalen, Director, Facilities Management, The New School
