All applicants must submit a photograph.
We understand that when students come out of high school they may have been focused on one area of theater, or they may have been working in several areas (Acting, Directing, Playwriting, or Multimedia theater and design). The application will allow for each student to apply with an online audition, or a portfolio highlighting the students strengths.
BFA Acting Portfolio - Online Audition: (all of the following)
1. A one-minute video of you being yourself [video]
2. A one- to two-minute monologue [video]
3. A two- to four-minute scene [video]
BFA Playwriting Portfolio: (both of the following)
1. A one-act or full length play [PDF]
2. An original prose piece (fiction, non-fiction, or memoir) [PDF]
BFA Directing Portfolio:
The director’s portfolio should include a range of production information. Please include production photographs, excerpts from your director’s notebook or promptbook, script notes or thematic essays, scheduling and administrative materials, and research. (Up to 24 files can be uploaded.)
BFA Multimedia Theater Portfolio:
Your portfolio should include research, documentation, video files, samples of your design work, administrative materials, photographs, and a writing sample. (Up to 24 files can be uploaded.)
