Graduate Certificate in Documentary Media Studies

Admissions

Students are admitted for the fall semester only.
Application deadline for fall '08: March 15.

The New School Graduate Certificate in Documentary Media Studies encourages applications from aspiring documentarians, however diverse their academic backgrounds and life experiences. A background in video and/or filmmaking is not required to apply.  You must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Applications are reviewed by an admissions committee consisting of the director of the Documentary Media Studies Certificate and members of the faculty. Letters of recommendation, academic transcripts, your Statement of Purpose and your portfolio are all carefully evaluated.
