Radwan and Yassin Ziadeh

Yassin Ziadeh, brother of human rights researcher and activist Radwan Ziadeh, has been held incommunicado and without charge since August 30, 2011. According to a report from Scholars at Risk, Yassin Ziadeh is being wrongly held as part of the government’s retaliation for his brother’s research and human rights work. The family of Radwan Ziadeh, who is a visiting scholar at George Washington University and founder of the Damascus Center for Human Rights Studies, has reportedly suffered ongoing harassment since his departure from Syria in 2007 following death threats.
