Angela Davis-Gardner’s books include Butterfly's Child (2011), Plum Wine (2007), Close to Home (1998), Between Friends (1994), Forms of Shelter (1991), and Felice ( 1982). A professor emerita at North Carolina State University, Angela Davis-Gardner has won more than thirty awards for her teaching and writing. In Spring 2006, she was William Blackburn Writer in Residence at Duke University. Moderated by Jennifer Egan. Jennifer Egan’s book A Visit From the Goon Squad won the 2011 Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Critics Circle Award for Fiction, and the LA Times Book Prize. Her other books are The Invisible Circus, which was released as a feature film by Fine Line in 2001, Emerald City and Other Stories, Look at Me, which was nominated for the National Book Award in 2001, and the bestselling The Keep.
