Strategies for Grants Success Faculty Research Support Workshop

Bookmark and Share

12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.

This faculty research support workshop, which is open to all New School faculty, is being offered by and coordinated out of the Research Support area of the Provost's Office, presented by staff, faculty, and the IRB.

Many grant proposals are not funded for one critical aspect: as clear and compelling as a proposal may be, it may not be aligned with the priorities, interests, or mission of the funder. A thorough understanding of types of projects sponsors have funded in the past, and types of projects they anticipate to fund in the future, is critical to proposal success. Attendees will learn how to mine various grant and funder data sources, ask the right questions of program/grants staff, and frame their proposals to address priorities and requirements of grant programs. Presenters will also discuss ways for faculty to position themselves as scholar, researcher/practitioner, and grantseeker.

66 West 12th St, Room 716
