CEPA Research Projects Impacts of Globalization: Finance, Distribution, Labor and Social
Policy This project continues work begun in 1996 under the MacArthur project on Globalization and Social Policy. The studies of developing countries are extended, and the work continues to concentrate on the effects of globalization on income distribution, employment and earnings. Complementing CEPA's focus on the world financial system, the research investigates the impact of direct foreign investment in recipient countries and the proper design of multilateral investment accords. Results of the research are published in CEPA's series of Working Papers on Globalization, Labor Markets, and Social Policy. Further results were presented at a Workshop on Liberalization and Employment Performance in the OECD, held at CEPA on May 18-19, 2001. Links: |
