The Bulletin was conceived as an instrument of communication
between the New York office and our colleagues and collaborators in the
region. It quickly became a forum for the exchange of ideas and news, as
well as an ongoing evaluation of ECEP activities. The Bulletin is
recognized as a noted resource for scholars, students, and journalists,
as well as a wider audience interested in the new Europe. Its circulation
began in the fall of 1990. Since then its readership has reached 2000.
