Journal Donation Project
JDP Funding History

The Journal Donation Project is currently supported by a 2-year grant from the MacArthur Foundation for our work in Nigeria. A 2-year Ford Foundation - Hanoi grant funds our work in Vietnam and a 2-year grant from the Carnegie Corporation of NY for our work in Russia and the former Soviet Union (FSU), Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, and Tanzania. In 2007, the Journal Donation Project extended its work to Cuba and our work there is currently funded by grants from the Christopher Reynolds Foundation, Newman’s Own Foundation, Ford Foundation, Samuel Rubin Foundation, Rockefeller Financial Services and OSI.

In the past the JDP has also received support from the Ford Foundation - Moscow, the Soros Foundation / Open Society Institute – Budapest, the Andrew Mellon Foundation, the United States Information Agency USIA, the Ford Foundation NY, the Smith Richardson Foundation, and the Eurasia Foundation.
