Welfare Rights and Social Policy
Gabor Juhasz (Hungary)
Are you surprised to read a lack of resources characterizes this
field? I found many course descriptions and few homepages with
relevant data. My best advice is to visit the Government homepage
to find some information about the topic you are interested in.
However, I could find some homepages with related topics.
- Social Security Online http://www.ssa.gov/SSA
Homepage of the social security administration, containing interesting
information about conditions of eligibility, useful help on how
to apply for a social security number, how to apply for benefits,
and many more things.
- Institute for Social Studies, University of Warsaw - http://andante.iss.uw.edu.pl/issgu.html
Polish social surveys on unemployment, abortion, electoral behavior
and many many more - faculty papers.
- Political resources on the NET -http://www.agora.stm.it/politic/
- political parties around the world - government resources on
the Web - Parliaments of the World.
- Russian and East European studies -http://wwwl.pitt.edu/~cip/rees.html
- plenty of information on East Central European politics;
- including national homepages.
- World Economy Window -http://nmg.clever.net/wew/
- balance of payment, inflation & prices, foreign debt, investments,
economic trends etc (in the OECD countries).
- World Bank -http://www.worldbank.org
- useful information on World Bank projects, - annual World Development
Reports (1994, 1995).
