  • A Word on Software
First of all let me solve theoretical question, which kind of program is better to use.
Although, it is possible to find requested information on Gopher or FTP, I recommend to use third one - Netscape.
This program contents all files available in Gopher or FTP. Searching is easier and the amount of informations and combinations is higher.
  • General Information on Slovakia
When I was working on my Public Policy Workshop presentation on Public Policy in Slovakia, I found following address is http://www.savba.skThis is the server of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Here we can find all available informations about Slovakia.
  • Media in Slovakia
Another source of information in Slovakia is www.savba.sk/logos/news/sme/sme.html. It is where you can find the daily newspaper, SME. It is a first hand guide to Slovak current affairs.

Another useful address is http://www.savba.sk/logos/ngo/saia/np.html, which locates NONPROFIT, a monthly magazine about Slovak non-governmental sector issues. The NONPROFIT is an important guide for all who are interested in the growing NGO s sector and about its problems - including the current state interference. At the end of each issue is an English summary.

One other source on Slovakia and Public Policy issues is the Media Digest by OMRI - Open Media Research Institute.
Its internet address is http://www. eunet. sk/media/media html. There is a daily survey (Slovakia Document Store) from Slovakia in English.

For researches who would like to read "political correct" news from contemporary Slovakia in English, I would recommend http://www.savba.sk/logos/news/sia/index.html. Here. you will find the Slovak Information Agency (SIA), founded by the present populist and nationalist government in order to spread 'positive image about Slovakia'. You can see how they succeed.
  • Public Policy on the Internet
The Yahoo environment offers Public Policy issues in the Social Sciences.

At http://www.yahoo. com/Social_Science/Political_Science/Public_Policy/Organizations we can find the U.S. institution, which are dealing with the Public Policy issues.

Among them I found very interesting the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace. The Hoover Institution, located at Stanford University, has been devoted to the advanced study of domestic public policy and international affairs: http://www.hoover.stanford. edu.

Another institution which is important to mention is the Cato Institute, which produces statements made by Cato staff members before Congress. The Cato Institute issues analysis reports on domestic Public Policy issues, and its address is: http://www.aclu.org.

As for resources on Constitutionalism, there is another Yahoo environment - in the Government item. Its address is http://www.yahoo. com/Government/Documents/Constituion.

You can find practically all of the world's constitutions, including the U.S. and constitutions from Central & Eastern European Countries.
There are also constitutional documents such as the Bill of Right, amendments, important state laws...

However, there are only 'recent' constitutions. You won't find, for example, first French Constitution of 1791. But I am sure it is only a question of internet time.
