Career Development hosts or takes part in a wide variety of information sessions, workshops, and special events open to all New School students and alumni. Our workshops focus on practical, personal career development and job searching skills. Career fairs, panel discussions, and graduate school information sessions provide valuable information about the kinds of jobs available in particular fields and entry-level requirements. These events also provide valuable opportunities for meeting and networking with New School alumni working in various fields and employers who may be recruiting.
Here are some examples of events sponsored or co-sponsored by Career Development. Open the Event Calendar to find out about upcoming events on and off campus.
Join the Career Development mailing list to receive email announcement of upcoming career events. Send an email request to firstname.lastname@example.org. Include your name, division of the university, and field of study in the subject line (e.g., Amanda Tanner, Lang, Theater). Note: Alumni can receive announcements of alumni-oriented career development events by activating their memberships in The New School Alumni Association.
