Throughout its 90-year history, The New School has been an integral part of New York City's Greenwich Village, a neighborhood that has shared the university's culture of nurturing creativity and critical thinking.
Now, as The New School is transforming itself and uniting its eight schools through innovative, cross-disciplinary programs, it is also transforming its urban campus through a thoughtful planning process to redevelop its facilities and create an "urban quad" at the crossroads of 13th Street and Fifth Avenue.
These projects—three completed and one now underway—are going to provide state-of-the-art classrooms and beautiful public spaces that will reflect the values of The New School and the neighborhood, including the university's commitment to shrinking its overall carbon footprint in New York City.
