Housing

Student Housing's mission is to enhance your learning experience by building residential communities that support your academic and personal growth. We provide secure and supportive environments that can ease the transition from home to college.

Meal Plans

A variety of Meal Plans are available for commuters, resident students, graduate students, and students who are not assigned to a meal plan-assigned dorm.

Disability Services

Student Disability Services (SDS) is designed to assist students with disabilities in need of academic and programmatic accommodations as required by the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and Section 504 of the Federal Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

Health Services

The New School Student Health Services goal is to promote lifelong, optimal health for our diverse student community. Through consistently delivering excellent medical care, psychological services, and preventive education, we enable you to become responsible agents of your own health.

Safety and Preparedness

The priorities of The New School’s Emergency Management plan are to protect and save the lives of all members of the university community and university property; maintain or quickly restore university operations, activities, services; and provide assistance to the local community.

Career Services

The Office of Career Development at The New School aims to help you identify, plan, and implement sound career decisions that will lead to your personal and professional growth.

Libraries

Students have access to The New School libraries, which include the Raymond Fogelman Library, Visual Resource Collection, and the Harry Scherman Library. The university is also member of the Research Library Associate of South Manhattan, which allows degree students access to collections at New York University, Cooper Union, and the New York Historical Society, among others.

Academic Technology

The Office of Academic Computing operates general-access laboratories as a service to students. Each facility offers a wide variety of software, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and electronic mail. Students using the centers are supported by a full-time staff and assisted by lab aides.

International Student Services 

International Student Services recognizes the important contribution internationals make to our community; our staff is dedicated to supporting your endeavors. To ensure your success at The New School, we provide immigration advice and cultural support in a welcoming and friendly environment.
