English has become the language of international communication, and command of spoken and written English is important in business, the arts, and other professions all over the world. This applies to native speakers as much as to those for whom English is a second language. The mission of English Language Studies at The New School is to address this demand by designing high-quality courses in English language instruction and teacher training.
