Accepted Students

Congratulations! Your application for admission to the New School for Public Engagement Undergraduate Programs has been accepted. We are excited that you are thinking about taking the next step in your education at The New School.

If you have already submitted your deposit, visit the New Student Website to complete the enrollment process and obtain information about housing, registration, and orientation.

To become a New School for Public Engagement Undergraduate student, please complete these steps:

  1. Reserve Your Place in the Class/Pay Your Admission Tuition Deposit
    To accept your offer of admission and reserve your place in the class, visit my.newschool.edu and use the online system to pay your tuition deposit by the date stated in your acceptance letter. First time users: Look up the net ID for your user name and enter your date of birth as your password (MMDDYY format). Returning users: Use your current log-in. In either case, should your password not work, use the "Reset Your Password" link.

    Need to pay by mail? If you are unable to use the online system, you can pay your tuition deposit by mail with a check or money order. Download the Admission Reply Form (PDF) and send it with your payment by the date given in your acceptance letter.

    Special circumstances regarding the tuition deposit? If you paid your deposit in a previous term or belong to a special program that exempts students from submitting a deposit, please return the intent-to-enroll form that was included with your acceptance letter.

    Visit the New Student web site for steps required to complete the enrollment process along with information about housing, registration, and orientation.

    Not planning to attend?We understand that plans can change. If you have decided not accept our offer of admission, please complete this online form.


  2. Check Your Financial Aid
    In order to receive financial aid, U.S. citizens and eligible non-citizens must submit the Free Application for Financial Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov (the New School code is 002780). Carefully read all the comments on your Student Aid Report (SAR) and follow up as necessary. Information about applying for financial aid and financing options available for all students can be found on the Student Financial Services website. If you have been awarded a scholarship and/or are eligible for financial aid and have a completed application on file, you can check the status online at my.newschool.edu. Log in using the instructions above.

  3. International Students - Begin Completing the International Student Application Packet
    International students who need the I-20 or DS-2019 form to obtain a visa will receive a link to the online International Student Application Packet in their acceptance letters or they may access the link via the Accepted Student tab in MyNewSchool. This web page includes information about applying for the I-20 or DS-2019, guidelines for providing financial documents, instructions and procedures for F-1 transfer students, and other important forms and information.
