Look for the "Wireless Network Connection" icon at the bottom right of your computer screen and click on it. You should be able to see newschoolnet.
The Airport monitor is located on the top right hand side of the Menu Bar. When connected the wireless icon will have curved lines that are darkened. More darkened lines means a stronger signal.
