GroupWise Proxy Setup

Proxy lets you manage another person’s Mailbox and Calendar within the restrictions that person sets. Two steps must be completed before you can act as someone’s proxy.  First, the person for whom you will act as proxy must grant you permissions in their proxy Access List.  Second, you use the Proxy List window to enter their account.

Granting Proxy Permission in the Access List

  1. Click Tools, Options.
  2. Double-click Security, click the Proxy Access tab to add a user to the list.
  3. Type the person’s name that you wish to act as your proxy in the Name field or add the name using the Address Book (Button beside the Name field).
  4.  When the full name appears, click the Add User button.
  5. The name is added to the Access List.
  6. Click the name in the Access List.
  7. Select the permissions you want to give to the user in the check boxes.

Using the Proxy List Window

  1. Click on the File menu, click Proxy.
  2. The Proxy List window will come up.
  3. To add a user, type the full name in the Name field or find the name in the Address Book (Button beside the Name field), click OK.
  4. Double-click on any name in the Proxy List window to enter their mailbox.
  5. To go back to your account, click File, Proxy and select your name, click OK.
