CONNECTING TO NETWORKED PRINTERS USING iPRINT


Open your internet browser and go to http://printing.newschool.edu.
(If the iPrint client is not installed on your computer, you will be prompted to install the software.)

IPrint Client Installation


The first time you go to the printers website you will be prompted to install the iPrint client.

Click OK.
At the File Download dialog, click Open.
NOTE: If your computer does not give you the option to open the file, save the nipp.exe file to your Desktop.



Minimize all your open windows so you can see the desktop. Look for an icon that looks like this. Double-click it to begin the iPrint client install.



You should see the installation window. Do not cancel the extraction process.




When the install has completed, click Finish.
If you have your internet browser open, be sure to close it before continuing.







Printer Installation


Open Internet Explorer. Go to http://printing.newschool.edu:

On the left-most column, look for your address under the selection of Building Locations. Click the location (in red) that matches your building address.

The main window will list the printers available at your location, sorted by address. Click the blue link that corresponds to your printer to begin the installation process.



When prompted to install the printer, click Yes.



iPrint detects your computer’s operating system and installs the appropriate driver. You may need to minimize your internet browser to see this window.



Once the drivers are successfully installed you should the following message. Click OK.

From the Windows Start Menu, go to Control Panel, Printers and find the printer you just installed.
Right click and select Set as Default Printer if you wish this to be the default printer.
Try sending a document to the printer.
