Regional Alumni Networks

We are beginning to build regional alumni networks to give alumni who have left New York City a way to stay connected and a resource for getting started in a new city. For more information, see our developing regional networks page.

Online Alumni Services and Directory:

Alumni can search for their classmates in ALVIN http://alvin.newschool.edu, the online access point for alumni services at The New School. (Log in using your New School ID which begins with an "N" an can be found on your Membership Card, and your PIN, which, if you have not used ALVIN yet will be your birthdate in the MMDDYY format. If you do not know your PIN or have other problems with the login process, call 212.229.5662 x3784.)

Click on "Alumni Services," then choose "Find a Classmate" to search for alumni. Under the Alumni Services menu you can also update your own contact information using the links provided. Don't forget to visit "Show Directory Profile" to display your information in the online directory so your fellow alumni can contact you. (Please note that you may also choose to update your contact information so we can contact you but hide it from the directory.) The alumni directory will only be as good as our alumni make it by entering information and updating the directory profile.

Our Database:

The Office of Alumni Relations maintains a database of all university alumni. All university, school, and department mailings to alumni use the names and addresses maintained in this database. (If you receive a mailing at an old address after updating your contact information with us, please let us know.) We want to stay in touch with you, but to do so we need to keep our information current. Please update your contact information in ALVIN or use the Alumni Update Form to provide us with your current personal and business information.

How you can help us:

We welcome information about your classmates that could help us reconnect with them. If you can provide the address of an alum whom we may have lost touch with, or know that an alum is deceased, please inform us.

Privacy Policy:

Please be assured that we adhere to a strict policy of protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your information. Only alumni can access the online directory and only the information YOU choose to show will be visible. We never give out alumni contact information without permission nor do we provide any information about our alumni to non-alumni parties. Alumni volunteers acting on behalf of the university to carry out class representative duties related to events and/or fund raising may obtain lists of addresses, phone numbers, and emails by agreeing to the terms of our privacy statement.
