Adam Brown, PhD, Clinical Psychology ’08

Adam is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at New York University School of Medicine. He carries out research in anxiety disorders, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder. Adam received his PhD in clinical psychology from The New School for Social Research and completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in brain imaging at Weill Medical College of Cornell University. He was a 2010 Australian-American Fulbright Senior Scholar conducting research at the University of New South Wales and the Macquarie Centre for Cognitive Science in Sydney, Australia. His work has been published in numerous international peer-reviewed journals and books.  Adam currently serves as the book editor for the journal Memory Studies and recently co-edited Memory and the Future: Transnational Politics, Ethics, and Society.
